I Haven't Filmed a Video in 6 Months

Whaddup family.

As some of you know, I recently decided to realign the purpose of this newsletter: BTS of my journey to becoming a full time content creator. I’ll be showing you behind the curtain on what it actually takes in 2026 to make a living making stuff while also juggling family, a 9-5, side hustles, fighting off the dad bod, health complications, and many others.

So yeah — let’s get right into it.

Behind the Scenes

I posted a video last month where I spent a night camping at the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. My initial plan was to highlight the ACTUAL cheapest place to stay on Disney Property ($89/night!) and hopefully give some much needed attention to some lesser known amenities and benefits Disney World offers — like free water park entry before check-in.

I filmed it… last May. Like May 2025.

Frankly, this was due to a super big expectation that it would be a “banger” — so I got nervous and overthought the whole execution.

“I’ll make THAT one when I have more time for it… it’s gotta be PERFECT.”

And then I didn’t touch it for six months.

Well, I spent the first four months of this year finally working on it and editing it.

You know what? I’m proud of the end result. It’s a GOOD video that I love. It currently sits at 3.3K views, but it has good bones and I expect it to grow over time as my library grows. So I’m not too worried about the numbers.

But you know what REALLY brought me joy? My friends Lizzie and Evan recently shared that their entire family has started enjoying my videos. So much so that when I dropped this video, Lizzie sent Jenny a photo of the whole family gathered in a room watching it together.

It blew me away.

I’ve said to Jenny before that THIS is my goal for each video I make — I want each video to be an opportunity for families to draw together and laugh. No matter the age. And this was proof of it happening.

Wow.

Coming Soon

Next up is a video I filmed… last June. Do you spot a trend? I got invited to an Orlando Informer event where you got unlimited food and wait times were practically nonexistent. I brought my friend Robbie, and we challenged ourselves to riding all the rides in alphabetical order. Let’s just say it turned out better than I expected.

I’m also planning the first installment in a recurring series where I challenge myself to riding every ride in each park and rate them at the end. I’m in early stages of figuring out the different storytelling elements I want to utilize — with the goal of also coming away with the most comprehensive analysis of the rides in each park.

It will also be the first swing I have with a “timeline editor” who does a rough cut of the entire footage so it hopefully cuts my editing time in half.

I will share more next month.

Thanks for reading!
